Thanksgiving 2011

I love Thanksgiving, it is my favorite holiday, how great and simple, a day set aside to remember all that we have to be thankful for.  My favorite tradition is to write our thankful list while we sip Martinelli's cider.  I am thankful for my girls that helped keep this tradition alive, Taylor ran to the store to get the sparkling cider while Kyley got our pen and paper together:) Here are our list...

Loren read his last, there was such a sweet spirit ,we all felt it, I guess that is why we do these little traditions.  I liked how he wrote "hope" I too am thankful for hope, it has sustained me many a times.
I know it looks like a kindergartner wrote this but it's me left handed, note my cast.

I know the girls list are so much longer than mine but they are younger and more agile - it was fun as we read and we would say "Oh I forgot about that one..."

The boys Jack (being sill always), Jay, Jake, Durham, Ty, Wyatt - these boys had a mean game of football, shirts vs. skins.  Ty played so hard, I had to remind him that he had no pads on.  He had to shower before the Chesley Thanksgiving, and he was pretty skinned up the next day.
As we were writing our list, Wyatt said,  "Dad just looked at mine, he is cheating."
Some of the girls - Kyley and Dyan in back, Julie, Kate, Taylor, Hannah, Karrie, Annie
We had dinner at the Goodman's at noon, then more food at Kathleen's.  It was just a good day spend with family, I am truly blessed.  The day after Thanksgiving we got to see my niece Abby get baptized up in Prescott Valley.  It was just another small reminder that I have the gospel and good family, I  really have so much.

  1. I'm thankful for you and your great family. Great lists, especially Phineas and Ferb. That one cracked me up.
